| | | "Cathedral" is a record of haggard beauty
featuring twelve stunning tracks chronicling the human condition with a keen eye
for detail, and a master storyteller's precision. It is the story behind highly
prolific front-man, Matt Herbert, the undeniable voice, rhythm and pulse of the band.
Herbert is known to write one new song per day, while receiving critical
accolades. "Like all the greats, Hebert seems to have mastered the art of
nuance." (The Charlotte Observer) Atlanta's Creative Loafing praises Hebert's
songs as the "aural equivalent of Raymond Carver." This isn't too far off. The
title of "Cathedral" is directly borrowed from a collection of Raymond Carver
short stories, which Hebert cites as a huge lyrical influence.
